"Happiness"

Smiling slightly,

without a care in the world,

we walk down the path of life.

Hand in hand,

side by side,

you're here every waking moment.

I turn my head,

see you looking beyond,
and know that there's nothing better.

When I'm with you,

it's only us.

The world just melts away.

We follow the sunset,

down through the sand,

and into the calm, waiting ocean.

We walk on the edge,

where it's not too deep,

making sure we keep it all in sight.

The soar of the birds,

the sound of the wind,

nothing could be more peaceful.

The rays of light hit the landscape perfectly.

Making it all seem like a dream.

I feel as if I'm in a trance,

but for once I want to stay.

This is a place where I'm happy.

And I don't want to leave.

So I'm going to take it all in while I can...

We wade to a low rock,

when getting there he gestures for me to sit.

Fingers still locked,

we sit looking up at the sky.
